Bluetooth Walkie-Talkie iPhone app

Akosma software is pleased to announce bluewoki 1.0, a simple and fun Bluetooth peer-to-peer walkie-talkie for iPhone OS 3.0, for iPhone and iPod Touch (2nd generation) with source code available on Github. bluewoki is a fun application which allows two iPhones to communicate over an ad-hoc Bluetooth network. It is a fun application to use with friends or relatives over a small distance, for example while biking or in a crowd.

bluewoki works up to a distance of around 10 meters, and uses the integrated speaker and microphone of the iPhone. It works on iPod Touch devices (2nd generation only) using an external microphone, like the one included in the iPhone headset.

Features:
* Auto-discovery of nearby peers
* Detects a disconnection from the remote party
* Leather-like UI
* Very simple to use
* Source code freely available

The source code of bluewoki is freely available at Github, a popular software source code sharing site, with a business-friendly BSD-like license. Developers are encouraged to use it as a basis for their explorations, in both open source and commercial applications.
