RichMine, an underground arcade game for iPhone and iPod touch, developed and published by Zveno Games (www.zvenogames.com), has been released on App Store.

RichMine will force player to throw picks, catch gems and fill 20 barrels with riches of deeps. The task is to assist two nice, but clumsy dwarfs in obtaining precious stones in the rich mine, where gems are falling down from the arch like a shower. You knock the pick and catch the brought down gems during 20 levels.

Dwarf with picks is controlled by touchscreen and his fellow worker is moved by accelerometer. In every cave there are 6 picks to throw. If you catch a falling pick, you can use it again and this increases chances to win. The deeper dwarfs go, the more indestructible obstacles and enemies they meet. Such underground inhabitances as ghosts, bats, spiders and cobwebs love to steal picks. The level lasts until you bring down the last gem (you win) or use your last pick (you fail).

The game has an easy to pick up tutorial and high scores table. RichMine for iPhone and iPod touch can greatly fill few free minutes during the day.

Avallon Alliance released new board game for iPhone and iPod, developed by OAK – Crazy Checkers. This is an amusing game, in which player has to push opponents’ checkers off the board before they do the same to his/her.

Player chooses the target (or even several targets), pulls back the piece and hits the opponent’s pieces to send them off the playing board. At the beginning of a match both players have 8 checkers, which are placed on opposite sides of the board. During the first round they stay on the last rows but winning a round will get them move toward the opponent’s side of the field. As game proceeds, pieces will be placed in various groups and figures.

For more excitement the game is played in 3 levels of difficulty. There are tournament mode, which allows fighting against the AI or other real players, and quick game just to train and entertain. It’s also possible to give some individuality to your game by colouring up checkers. The scoring system shows champions to honour.
