New York, NY – Announcing that MacPhun LLC, the developers of Real-Time Distorter, is proud to offer a new product for iPhone users who like to have fun. This application is a new launch and the first one to ever turn a phone into a portable real time distorting glass. Much like fun house mirrors, Real-Time Distorter reflects images of people appearing on the iPhone screen into hilarious shapes that can then be photographed or video recorded. The Real-Time Distorter app is a new launch and the first of its kind on the market. It allows users to view people through an iPhone screen in real time, adding a special, new twist. What users see on the screen is what they get in the final product. Distorted videos and pictures can easily be shared from within the app via email, Twitter or FaceBook. Users are also able to upload their videos to YouTube.

These are some of the features found in Real-Time Distorter:
* Users are able to view everyone through the distorting glass in real time

Budapest, Hungary – 3D Magic Kft., the developers and publishers of highly successfull iPhone games reached a new milestone with their website “Promo Dispenser”. Based on a survey by AppstoreHQ and IphoneDevSDK it is the most beloved promotion tool after prMac, Admob, Twitter and Facebook.

Promo Dispenser is a unique and free service for iPhone developers to promote their apps and games by giving away promotional codes, and a unique opportunity for users to get paid apps and games for free downloading them directly from iTunes.

Promo Dispenser was opened in its beta 2.0 version to the public in July 2009 and it attracted attention on the net immediately among bloggers, iPhone developers and iPhone users as well. Since the launch of the website over 1000 developers took the opportunity to register and promote their apps by giving away more, than 23000 promotional codes in a controlled environment. Over 8000 registered members use the site day by day to download, rate and review those apps on iTunes.

The community is growing every day, in this year the site drove 116.000 visits by 53.000 unique visitors, who wrote reviews for more, than 1300 apps and games.

Users and developers only have to register with a nickname and a legal email address and profit immediately from a win-win system without setting up and participating in any sweepstakes, lottery or drawings, which are commonly used by other forums, blogs and community sites like Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and the like.

Promo Dispenser’s users get paid apps with a single button click and in exchange they have nothing else to do, than to rate the app and write a honest review on iTunes.

Developers are always able to track, which of their codes are taken and they can be sure to get feedback on their developments in opposite of other marketing techniques, where their codes are mostly wasted.

Promo Dispenser is free to use for both, developers and users.

Christchurch, New Zealand – MiniMonos, the sustainability-focused virtual world for children, today launched its first iPhone app, MiniMonos Flight 1.0. Players of the game become flying monkeys, and have to tilt their iPhones left and right to swoop through the sky, collecting wind clouds and avoiding energy-sapping pollution clouds. Trampolines on the ground provide bouncing rescues to monkeys that get too low.

MiniMonos Flight is an iPhone adaptation of the game on its website, the popular children’s virtual world. Banana chips scored on the iPhone app can be posted to your MiniMonos account.

“We had a great time adapting MiniMonos Flight to the iPhone,” says Greg Montgomery, MiniMonos’ Chief Technical Officer. “It’s quite gratifying to fly in the game by physically moving the device.”

As the iPhone app was receiving the green light from Apple, MiniMonos passed another milestone: inspired by the company’s core values of sustainability, generosity, community and fun, more than 32,000 children from more than 150 countries have now registered for the virtual world. The team at MiniMonos will be continually updating the iPhone app, as well as launching new apps based on the other games in the MiniMonos virtual world like R.A.T.S. (Recycle All This Stuff), Go Go Green, and Monkey Fist.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iPhone OS 3.1 or later
* 4.3 MB

MiniMonos is a virtual world for children: a place of fun, beauty, discovery, generosity, sustainability and friendship. MiniMonos was created by Melissa Clark-Reynolds so that children could have a place of their own, a place that allows them to explore and grow without constant pressure to buy stuff. It’s a place that embodies core values like sustainability and generosity, without turning those values into a boring lecture. Children’s in-world treehouses require care and nourishment in order to flourish – just like our planet. The games they play are fun games – with a connection to our core values. MiniMonos’ aim is to continually answer the question: What would a virtual world for children look like if sustainability were a given and we could just focus on entertainment? Greifswald, Germany – rapidrabbit today is proud to announce the release of version 1.2 of their AppStore meta-app “appbzr” (pronounced app bazaar). The new version includes many user requested features like faster browsing, more push settings, high resolution icons for retina displays and many more adjustments behind the scenes that improve the stability and speed of the app.

Every day hundreds of apps arrive at the AppStore, their price drops or they receive a feature that makes them very popular. It’s increasingly difficult to keep track of these apps. As a result users have to read many blogs or they stop downloading apps at all. “appbzr” has, since its release, helped to solve this problem.

“appbzr” has been developed specifically for app enthusiasts and everyone who would like to become one. It will help to organize, discover and share apps and therefore is the ultimate tool for all app lovers. The fast and accessible interface makes browsing through apps fun again. Every feature can be reached with a single tap: price drops, new apps, hot apps, Top100, updated apps and lists. Even a search function has been integrated, that is directly tied to the iTunes Store.

“appbzr” does not limit the user to see generated lists, they also can compose their own lists and share them with their friends. To get them started, three standard lists are provided. Sharing of lists is easy – with a single tap the list can be send via mail to a friend or can be shared on facebook. Sharing individual apps works the same way.

Push messages play a big role, too. Every day the user will get an “appbzr reminder”, that tells him how many new price drops, hot and new apps have been found. If an user sets an app on his wish list, he will receive an individual push message when the price for that app drops -a feature that is especially popular with “appbzr” users.

Here is a short overview about the app:
* Price drops, hot, updated and new apps only a tap away
* The Top100 of the biggest AppStore countries easily accessible
* Users can compose and share their own app lists
* Individual push messages for price drops
* Push messages inform the user about what’s going on at the AppStore
* Integrated search function
* great user interface that leaves room for features to come

Supported Languages:
* US English, German, Italian and Spanish

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later
* 1.9 MB

Pricing and Availability:
appbzr 1.2 is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Productivity category.

New High-Resolution iBook Gives You All the iPad Help You Need

Author: editor | Filed under: News

Jerusalem, Israel – Announcing that Shannoga, the developer of HiBye, has just released the latest update for iPhone and iPod touch users. HiBye 1.4 is a contact manager like no other app in the app store because it uses the device’s native contact list instead of creating the headache of a second phone book for users to have to search through. The main benefit of this app is the timer feature for temporary contacts. This allows contacts to be archived or completely deleted after a period of time determined by the user. New contacts are added directly to the list via a “Dummy” feature that is unique to this app.

To quickly add a new contact without opening the app, users simply edit the “Dummy” contact that is unique to HiBye. Here they can also set their preferences for the timer, the timeout alert and other settings. When they’re finished, the new contact will appear in their existing list of contacts. When the timer runs down, the user will get an alert and, depending on the settings they chose, HiBye will automatically archive or delete the contact from the list. Archived contacts are saved within the app so they can be easily retrieved if needed, and are viewable on a single list.

HiBye 1.4 features include:
* Apply a timer amount to your temporary contacts
* Edit the timer and categories at any time
* Get an alert when a contact is about to expire, to reset the timer or delete the contact
* See all your timed out contacts in one list; no more searching for individual contacts throughout your regular contact list
* Archive unused contacts, and retrieve them again later with one click
* Preset a default timer that will apply to each new individual contact that is added
* Create a note that will assist you in remembering that contact later on
* All contacts are saved in the iPhone address book, and are all synchronized and backed up into all other devices
* Add up to 8 categories to help organize your contacts
* Categorize all your contacts by group, location or category
* Add contacts from other devices such as computer, mobile me, Google contacts, or any other contact source that is synched with your iPhone
* Use “HiBye Dummy” to add phone numbers from your incoming/outgoing call lists or email

Contacts can be arranged by group (client, sales leads, suppliers etc), location, or category, making it easy to recognize who is calling, and what they might be looking for before the user answers the call. To make it even easier, users can attach notes to each contact to remind them where they met them or who they are.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone and iPod touch
* Requires iOS 3.0 or later
* 0.9 MB

Pricing and Availability:
HiBye 1.4 is only $1.99 (USD) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Productivity category. Promo codes are available for qualified reviewers. Please specify the website or blog you represent when making your request.

Singapore – Real Inverse today is pleased to announce the release of Paper Ninja 1.2.0, their first game for iPhone and iPod touch. Paper Ninja involves swiping your finger across the screen to cut through a horde of aggressive Paper Ninjas. Paper Ninja is designed to give players the thrill of a sword-fight by using a finger. Just like sword fighting, it is easy to pickup but difficult to master.

Since Paper Ninja was released in July, there has been some comments that it is a clone of another game. To address these issue among others, we gave Paper Ninja an overhaul in its version 1.2 update so that players can enjoy a better gaming experience and do a compare and contrast!

Previously, there were some reports that the game is defective as they sometimes cannot cut the Paper Ninjas. We did an investigation and realized that players did not know that Paper Ninja’s weapons can block the players’ attack. Therefore, we humbly requested the Grand Master to increase the power of the finger slash just enough to disarm the Paper Ninjas. With the disarm, it is now more obvious that the weapon is there to block the attack.

Then, we begged the Grand Master to capture tons of Paper Ninjas alive, took away their weapons, and tied them up. We tossed them up just like the “you-know-what-ninja” so that gamers can compare the difference between the real live Paper Ninja and well, edible stuff. More importantly, we are doing this all in the name of FUN!

In order to thank our fans, we moved to a nicer location for the scenery and gave the Paper Ninjas some wardrobe allowance to buy nicer clothes and weapons too. Have great fun with the new and polished Paper Ninja!

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later
* 15.5 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Paper Ninja 1.2.0 is only $0.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Games category.
