“At the time there were no color creation applications for the iPhone,” said Rick Maddy, founder of Colorado based Maddysoft. “Since I had just completed my first two iPhone applications, I thought it would be cool to write an iPhone app to help pick colors and be able to view technical details about the color. After some time brainstorming ideas for features I began writing the app. What started as a quick need for some website colors turned into a several hundred hour project resulting in the release of Palettes. Since its initial release I’ve added many features, largely based on customer requests and feedback.”

Sammamish, Washington – Juicy Bits today released a free update to 3D Camera for iPhone, an app that makes it easy to create 3D photos and share them with friends on Facebook and Twitter. 3D Camera earned 4.5 mice (out of 5) from Macworld and is frequently among the top 100 photography apps worldwide.

To create a 3D image, left and right photos are captured using the built-in camera. An enhanced camera overlay includes three different alignment modes and a “ghost” feature to easily align the two images. If the left and right photos have already been taken, they can be selected from the iPhone photo album.

Next, the two images are repositioned to control the apparent depth of the final 3D photo. Moving the right image to the right causes it to recede back into the screen, while moving it to the left causes it to “pop out.” 3D Camera creates color and grey anaglyph images that are viewed using common red/cyan 3D glasses, stereogram images that are viewed without glasses (parallel and cross-eyed), and “wigglegram” images that produce a simulated 3D effect.

The final 3D photo can be saved to the iPhone photo album for later use, sent to a friend via e-mail, or sent to Facebook and Twitter. Many custom settings are available to control the size, quality, and method used to produce the final 3D image. A “More” button provides access to a short, online video tour and additional documentation.

Feature Highlights:
* Enhanced camera that makes it easy to take two side-by-side photos
* Three different camera alignment modes
* Ability to send 3D photos to Facebook, Twitter, and e-mail
* Touch interface to realign and reposition images
* Automatic cropping of re-aligned images
* Grey and color anaglyph creation
* Parallel and cross-eyed stereogram support for photos that don’t require 3D glasses
* Wigglegram mode for a fun, simulated 3D effect
* Integrated instruction screen with “More” button to access an online video tour and additional documentation
* Button to swap the original photos
* App setting to choose the working image size (100%, 75%, 50%, 25%)
* App setting to enable/disable automatic saving of camera photos
* App setting to automatically boost saturation and brightness of Color and Grey anaglyphs
* App setting to control the size of stereogram borders (and to eliminate them)
* App setting to enable/disable stereogram alignment dots
* App setting to limit the maximum Twitter image dimensions (1024, 800, 640)
* App setting to select the color anaglyph method (full color, half color, optimized, and red/blue)
* App setting to bypass the introduction screen
3D Camera 1.3.3 is $1.99 (USD) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Photography category.

Waretown, NJ – Announcing that Ahlquist Software, the developers of Sudoku Sensation! has launched an amazing new application. The app contains 100 new, high quality Sudoku puzzles which were created by the same company that makes the crosswords for the New York Times. The gorgeous interface features completely customizable attributes to make it easy for users to set the look and game play exactly how they like it.

Sudoku Sensation! is unique for many reasons, the first of which is the quantity and quality of their puzzles. The developer licenses high quality puzzles from PZZL, the same source for puzzles used by Will Shortz, NY Times Crossword Editor. They’re perfect for those who like a good challenge in this venue.

The customizable features give this app more of the attractive attributes that are not commonly seen in other programs. Sudoku Sensation! is a totally personal experience, allowing users to choose backgrounds or import their own, designate the type of number picker they prefer and upload their own puzzles to add to the existing Sudoku library. Developers have even added space for players to make notations in the margins of the puzzles.

People with big fingers will love Sudoku Sensation! A block can be enlarged by using the zoom feature, making it easier to see and select numbers. The board is still visible behind the block, to ensure proper playing advantage.

Another big bonus of playing Sudoku Sensation! is its variety of available help options. There are several interactive tutorials, as well as a four level hint engine to help players solve the challenging puzzles.

Congratulatory messages are also given out in the generous Sudoku Sensation! app. There is an AI built right into the game that is capable of judging the difficulty of a block and offering feedback. If it’s a job well done, users will hear about it.

To sum up, Sudoku Sensation! is simple enough to play with one finger but sophisticated enough to support the multi-touch interface for expert players. The app’s smooth graphics, cool effects and win screens help add to the winning facets of the game, which is sure to become a top seller.

Features:
* High quality custom puzzles
* Nineteen attractive background images are provided
* Use of camera or photo library to import personal images for a background
* Includes interactive lessons covering three basic to moderate Sudoku solution techniques
* Supports multi-touch scale and move, as well as auto-zoom to make it easier to see and modify the numbers in the puzzle
* Allows players to enter Sudoku puzzles from the newspaper or a puzzle book, in addition to using the built in puzzle library
* Includes a sophisticated AI based hint engine that gives a little or a lot of help. Works with any Sudoku puzzle! If users get stuck on a puzzle in the newspaper, they can enter it into Sudoku Sensation and get a hint!

Sudoku Sensation! User Centric App for iPhone

Zwijndrecht, Belgium – Galarina today is pleased to announce GeoLogTag 3.0, an update to their popular photo geotagging solution for iPhone and iPod touch devices. Featuring a comfortable and simple user interface, GeoLogTag aims to make the cumbersome process of geotagging photos as easy as possible. It offers an all-in-one geotagging solution for photos taken with any digital camera, and was developed specifically to take advantage of the iPhone’s unique capabilities and touch interface.

GeoLogTag has no settings. While photos are taken with a digital camera (DSLR, point and shoot), GeoLogTag continuously tracks the user’s location just like a traditional GPS data logger. Among only one of GeoLogTag’s unique features is its ability to log locations every 3, 5, 10 or 60 minutes to prolong battery life. If the photos are stored on a Mac or on Flickr, GeoLogTag geotags the photos using the logged locations. Windows users can geotag their photos by using the GPX file generated by GeoLogTag in combination with a Windows geotagging application.

Feature Highlights:
* Comfortable and simple User Interface
* Continuously tracks the users location
* Supports all major cameras, including DSLR, point and shoot
* Log locations every 3, 5, 10 or 60 minutes to prolong battery life
* Supports all image formats, including RAW
* Continuous log mode: 6 to 7 hours
* Log every 3: 9 to 10 hours
* Log every 5: 12 to 14 hours
* Log every 10: 24 hours
* Log every 60: several days

“From day one, the Apple philosophy started from the user. A user should not be confronted with technical hurdles. He just wants to get a job done,” said Chris Cornelis, founder and CEO of Zwijndrecht, Belgium based Galarina. “As a long time Mac user and passionate amateur photographer, I created GeoLogTag based from my own experience with geotagging photos. While the geotagging functionality that comes with the iPhone’s built-in camera is pretty neat, the possibilities of the camera are limited when compared with my Nikon D80. This convinced me to start development on an app which extended the devices capabilities, and so GeoLogTag was born.”

Version 3.0 is a major update, and sports many new enhancements, such as an extra log mode for logging a location every hour, support for altitude, and better support for travelers going through different timezones. GeoLogTag now offers geotagging support for photos in RAW format. Supported formats include Nikon (NEF), Canon (CR2), Sony (ARW, SR2), Olympus (ORF), Pentax (PEF), Kodak (DCR, KDC), Epson (ERF), Panasonic (RAW, RW2), Mamiya (MEF), and Hasselblad (3FR).

Macintosh users will experience a major performance enhancement for geotagging JPEGs, approximately 10 times as fast compared with version 2.2.1. Users can now login to a Mac shared folder with their user name and password, and GeoLogTag shows a running clock at startup to make syncing with a digital camera easier. The application now displays a rough estimation of how much battery is left during geologging. Estimates will become better as GeoLogTag “learns” about the user’s battery.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone or iPod touch running 3.0 or later
* 0.7 MB
* Mac OS 10.5 or higher

Apple today released a new Software Development Kit (SDK) for iPad, so developers can create amazing new applications designed to take advantage of iPad’s capabilities. The SDK includes a simulator that lets developers test and debug their iPad apps on a Mac, and also lets developers create Universal Applications that run on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
